Shields Gazette story on Ruhleben

The Shields Gazette in the north east of England has a story today on my Ruhleben website at . Ruhleben was a First World War POW camp two miles from Berlin which interned over five and a half thousand British civilians. Previously a race course, it became a virtual British colony at the heart of enemy territory for four years, housing some remarkable people. So far I have traced the names of close to 2000 of the prisoners, and the search continues, so please do get in touch if you have a connection!
